ISLAMABAD: A thirteen years old girl’s sex has been changed after a successful surgery in the Polyclinic Hospital.
According to reports, Attiya (13) hailing fo
rm Murree was brought to the hospital on February 22, where Dr Ehsan, an urologist has conducted her surgery. The surgery was successful and her sex was changed from a male to female. The child’s parents have given h
im a new name ‘Adnan’.
Dr Ehsan told media that Attiya was boy m
edically, but parents cannot identify about the sex of the child in such rare m
edical cases. H
e further told that the two weeks earlier, all tests of pat
ient were conducted and on February 22, a successful surgery was conducted and her sex has changed adding that after three months his another surgery would be conducted.
The parents of the patient have expressed their happiness and joy over it.
